Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
I worked for months, working 12- hour days sanding floors and tearing down wallpaper with one baby strapped to my back while the other babies were crawling into the playpen. Ha! It was beginning to be clear, but wasn't quite finished. This was going take money, effort, and of course my favourite shopping experience to complete the interior of this house. To keep the budget in check, I began going to estate sales with my three sons to find jewels in the rough. Our routine was to visit garage sales and auctions on the weekend as well as purchase various of furniture, both new and old created. My work days were spent in the driveway painting or sanding. Furniture looked this way... which is where I got my passion for restoring. Although our house was equipped, I couldn't stop. In the market in town, I rented a small space, and also sold pieces. In the end, I had lots of pieces, I didn't think of a solution and outgrew the space. Over 1000 people visited my house in one weekend to buy all the things on the ground. That's how my company Growing Days was born. My business was booming, but my family was growing too. There was a perfect balance between starting a business and becoming a mother. Growing Days just fit. In 2013, my daughter Nora became our fourth daughter. It was a great direction for my business but I also needed some time off. I got away from vintage furniture to spend more quality time with my family. At the time, it was exactly what I needed. It rang once more after several minutes. There were calls from people asking me to assist them in interior decor and home renovations. The majority of them had visited my house at the open houses to purchase furniture. I started taking on some customers one by one taking my time but it wasn't too long before I had several accounts, and I was operating the complete business of home remodeling. It is likely that I'd have laughed had somebody had informed me that my business was going to be the basis for an upcoming television show on DIY Network. As I look back on this situation and think about it, I laugh.
